Recycling services to households on Bute should benefit from the end of a local organisation’s collection contract in Cowal.
So says Fyne Futures’ general manager Reeni Kennedy-Boyle, who spoke to The Buteman after a deal with Argyll and Bute Council to carry out recycling collections in rural parts of Cowal came to an end.
“Now we have the capacity to encourage as many people to recycle as possible,” Mrs Kennedy-Boyle said.
“We know from consultation work we have done that people would like us to be able to collect all types of recyclable plastic, instead of just plastic bottles - we haven’t been able to do that until now, because of capacity issues.”
