Bute’s latest singing sensation will take to the stage in Glasgow next weekend at the regional finals of the UK-wide Teenstar talent contest.
Rothesay Primary pupil Beth Swan will sing in front of an audience of five hundred people at the city’s Old Fruitmarket on Saturday, April 6, after wowing the judges at her first audition last month.
“I was really, really, really nervous before going on,” she says of the experience. “When I was singing I was still nervous, but after a while I got used to it.
“The judges didn’t really give anything away at the time. I thought I sang quite well but there was quite a lot of people there, so I was quite surprised when they said I’d got through.”
