The new head teacher at Rothesay Joint Campus says she’s been “overwhelmed” at the welcome she has received since taking up the role on a permanent basis.
Julie Fisher’s appointment was confirmed at the end of May after two spells as acting head - from August until October last year, and again from April this year, following Patricia McCurrach’s departure for family reasons.
“The reaction since I came back has been really overwhelming,” she told The Buteman.
“People have been so friendly, and so complimentary, and that’s fantastic, because you can’t drive forward improvement in a school unless you’ve got the support of the community.”
