Controlled drugs were recovered from three properties on Bute searched by police on Wednesday.

Officers based in Rothesay were assisted by specialist officers from other areas of Police Scotland, and drugs found in all three properties searched.

Reports will be submitted to the procurator fiscal, with charges in relation to supplying and possession of controlled drugs.

Inspector Gordon Anderson, Police Scotland’s senior officer on Bute, said: “We will continue to address drug misuse in the community and take robust enforcement action. The annual police public consultation also highlights drugs as a concern for the local population.

“Through local community intelligence we have disrupted the supply of controlled drugs and brought drug dealers to justice.

“We will continue to seek support and information from the community and public awareness campaigns and we will continue to tackle issues which cause greatest public concern.”
