A new service allowing people in Argyll and Bute to enjoy creative activities in their own home is due to launch next month.

Takeaway Creative, a social enterprise created by Colintraive resident Fiona Page, is the first service of its kind in the UK and a small revolution in the way people access activities.

It will offer a ‘menu’ that includes a wide range of activities to be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home, such as painting, photography, traditional games and new languages, all led by trusted and experienced practitioners.

Fiona is one of the Cowal participants in the Vital Spark programme, set up to support social entrepreneurs in the Dunoon, Cowal, Bute and Campbeltown areas and aimed at supporting local people to come up with ideas that benefit the local area.

Fiona said: “Takeaway Creative is ideal if you live rurally and have limited access to the arts and hobbies, want to learn at your own pace, or just want to unleash your creativity and have some fun!”

Find out more at an open event being held by Takeaway Creative in Rothesay Library on Saturday, March 12 from 10am to 11.30am.

Fiona will also be present at a similar event in Colintraive village hall later that same day, from 2.30pm to 4pm.
