A good turnout of members and guests of Rothesay Flower Club enjoyed a pre-Christmas treat on Monday, November 25.
Taking as her theme ‘Christmas-time’, Mrs Ella Crawford swiftly created a series of floral arrangements which brought gasps of admiration and warm applause from her audience. The Pavilion cafe was transformed into a Christmas grotto thanks to the array of displays which were then raffled - much to the delight of the lucky winners.
in her vote of thanks, Marj Bulloch paid tribute to the enormous work of preparation which Ella puts into displays and thanked her for being so willing to share her gift for floral arts.
The evening concluded with a cup of tea with delicious mince pies and shortbread, provided by the hard-working committee.
The next meeting of the Flower Club be on Monday, January 27, when Mrs Margaret Rose Lyle, the club president, will give the demonstration.
