Sisters Kiera and Kayleen Rutherford were delighted to receive recognition from the Red Cross Humanitarian Citizen Awards in London on Saturday.
The girls were nominated by island resident Mrs Margaret Williams for their fund-raising work for Erskine Hospital, which has recently seen the Rothesay Primary pupils hold a tombola and raffle.
Kiera and Kayleen’s mum, Charlotte Mcintyre, told us: “They had a great time and were over the moon with their certificate.
“They met loads of great people and want to thank Margaret Williams for putting them up for this award, and also Grace Baxter for all her help and support, and for coming with them to london.
“We’d also like to thank everyone who supports them with their fund-raising for Erskine Hospital.”
Charlotte added: “As Kiera says, everyone’s a winner.”
