Bute charity, Calum’s Cabin, has been selected as radio station Clyde 1’s Cash for Kids charity today (Friday, April 26).
The local charity - which supports families with children who have cancer by offering them a break away from it all at their specially-designed cabin at Straad or at the cottage at Eastlands Park – is being promoted on the air from 6am-6pm today, where you can hear stories from some of the visitors who’ve stayed at the cabin or cottage.
An announcement on the Cash for Kids facebook page stated that the Celtic Charity (the charitable arm of Celtic Football Club) have donated £12,500 to Calum’s Cabin – a remarkable sum of money which will no doubt go a long way.
Listeners across the country are sending in their donations, and if you’d like to do the same, you can text the word KIDS to 61025, and you’ll get a call back, (texts are free, you only pay the standard network rate).
Tune in to 102.5 Clyde 1 to hear more about Calum’s Cabin.
