Bute’s top visitor attraction will next month be named one of the country’s top visitor destinations - by one of the country’s top travel operators.
Mount Stuart is to be handed a CIE Tours International Award of Excellence at a glittering ceremony at VisitScotland’s expo Aberdeen on April 23.
Mount Stuart is the historic seat of the Stuarts of Bute and is Britain’s most astonishing Victorian Gothic mansion boasting quite breathtaking opulence. And, as the CIE Tours International clients have discovered, a visit to Mount Stuart is an experience not to be missed.
The news was welcomed by Mount Stuart Trust’s new operations director Adam Ellis-Jones.
“This award is given to destinations with an average client satisfaction rating of 90% or over, so it’s fair to say that only the cream of the UK hospitality industry can boast one,” he said.
“I’m delighted that Mount Stuart averaged a score of 93%, because it shows that the exceptionally hard work put in by our employees is not only having the results we hope, but is also being recognised and appreciated by our guests.
“Running Mount Stuart is a genuine team effort, and I’d like to thank each and every person who contributes in so many different ways to making this one of the best visitor destinations in the country.
“A customer satisfaction rating of 93% is a tremendous reflection on how close we are to achieving the perfect guest experience we are all working towards. We’re grateful to the CIE Tours International clients for their very positive feedback, but I’d like to assure them that we’ll be striving to make up that last 7% before the next time they visit!”
Dublin-based CIE Tours International is one of the top tour companies operating in the UK, winning the ‘Travel Operator of the Year 2013/14 Award’ from Scotland’s Heritage.
The Awards of Excellence will be presented by Dr Mike Cantlay, Chairman of VisitScotland, at expo Aberdeen in the city’s prestigious Exhibition and Conference Centre.
