Mount Stuart will be the only Bute tourism organisation represented at this week’s VisitScotland Expo in Glasgow.
More than 250 Scottish tourism businesses will be exhibiting to hundreds of tour operators from nearly 40 countries at the event, at the city’s SECC on April 17 and 18.
Mount Stuart is one of 11 businesses from across Argyll set to attend the national tourism organisation’s flagship travel trade event.
VisitScotland regional director David Adams McGilp said: “As Scotland gets ready to welcome the world in 2014, with the Commonwealth Games, Ryder Cup and the second Year of Homecoming, VisitScotland expo will be the perfect opportunity for exhibitors from Argyll to showcase their products and services to potential buyers from around the globe.
“VisitScotland expo provides local businesses with a fantastic opportunity to engage with tour operators and suppliers from all over the UK and overseas.
“It is crucial we work together to grow tourism and I am delighted to see such commitment from Argyll businesses.”
The eleven Argyll and the Isles businesses attending this week’s Expo are Inveraray Castle, The Village at Machrihanish Dunes, Cruise Loch Lomond Ltd, Portavadie Marina, Argyll Holidays of Lochgoilhead, the Argyll and the Isles Tourism Co-operative Ltd, the Argyll and Bute Museums and Heritage Forum, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Love Loch Lomond, Mount Stuart and Duart Castle on Mull.
