A BUTE company is celebrating after picking up three gold Great Taste Awards in the annual scheme celebrating the very best of Britain’s food and drink.
Henshelwood’s Fine Foods received gold prizes for two well-established favourites - raspberry and orange jam, and marmalade ‘with a wee dram’ - and completed the hat-trick with a recent addition to the company’s range, horseradish cream sauce.
Managing director Bob Henshelwood told The Buteman: “We’re delighted - to continue to get these accolades from our peers means we must be doing something right.”
Meanwhile, three products from the Henshelwood’s range have been tickling the tastebuds of visitors to London for this summer’s Olympic Games.
The company’s savoury blackberry jelly, hot apricot chutney and chutney for cheese have all been used as accompaniments to products sold by Scotland Food and Drink at ‘Scotland House’ in Pall Mall.
“I don’t know what might come of it,” Bob added, “but the feedback has been tremendous so far.”
