565 public comments on Ascog wind farm

A TOTAL of 565 public comments on the proposed Ascog Farm wind turbines had been received as the deadline for representations closed on Friday.

The fate of the application is now virtually certain to be decided by Argyll and Bute Council’s planning, protective services and licensing committee (PPSL) at a public hearing on the island.

The vast majority of the representations published on the council’s website as this article was uploaded were objections to Adrian Tear’s application for three turbines on Ascog Hill, each 74 metres in height from ground to blade tip.

No date or venue has yet been determined for that hearing, but we’ll publish the information on www.buteman.co.uk as soon as it is announced.
