Argyll and Bute’s Council’s Community Dementia Team has been announced as a finalist in the Care Accolades 2013.
Organised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), the Care Accolades are awards for social services in Scotland that recognise the extraordinary people and diverse social services projects in Scotland.
The Community Dementia Team is the only group in the Highlands and Islands region to have been shortlisted, and Rhoda Grant MSP for Highlands and Islands has lodged a motion in the Scottish Parliament to offer congratulations.
She said: ““I am delighted to see the Community Dementia Team by Argyll and Bute Council have been shortlisted in this years Care Accolades.”

The 2013 Award Ceremony will be held on May 31 at Perth Concert Hall and will give projects in Scotland the chance to showcase their good practice and get recognition for the excellent work they do. The finalists and guests will hear stories of ground breaking partnership working and the heart warming efforts made by social service workers and their organisations.
