The local Island Voices choir will perform Faure’s Requiem at St Andrew’s Church in Rothesay this Sunday, november 4.
According to Father Michael Hutson of St Andrew’s Church, ‘Remembering with Hope’ is neither a concert nor a church service.
We wamt to give people a little time to remember loved ones and to pray for them,” he said.
“It won’t be a church service as such, although there will be the opportunity to light a candle for a loved one should people wish to do so.”
In addition to the Requiem by Gabriel Faure - first performed by Island Voices at Trinity Church earlier this year - the programme also features four readings and musical meditations, including works by Elgar and Mozart. ‘Remembering with Hope’ begins at 3pm on Sunday, November 4, and admission is free.
