VIDEO: Preview of Rothesay’s Beauty and the Beast

After weeks of painstaking preparation, the curtain goes up on Tuesday night for the first of three performances of the Rothesay Joint Campus version of ‘Beauty and the Beast’.

Directed by Julie Henry, the show is a faithful recreation of the stage musical which made its Broadway debut in 1994, featuring all the classic songs from Disney’s animated film of three years previously - and plenty more too.

We were allowed a sneak peek behind the scenes on Monday evening at the dress rehearsal for the show - the first chance for cast and crew to run through the production from beginning to end, with costumes, sound, lighting and all - and if the rehearsal is anything to go buy, audiences on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night are in for a real treat.

Tickets, priced at £8 for adults and £6 for children, are selling fast, so to be sure of seeing what promises to be a memorable show, contact the school office ASAP on (01700) 503367.
