VIDEO: Pink is the colour for Achievement Bute

The programme of Easter school holiday activities run by local charity Achievement Bute reached a climax on Friday with a performance of the play ‘Pink!’ by Hopscotch Theatre Company.

The 40-minute all-singing all-dancing show, telling the story of what happens to Patrick the penguin when he wakes up one morning to discover all his feathers have turned bright pink, brought down the curtain on three days of colour-themed activities organised by the charity at Rothesay Joint Campus.

Also on show were bright red, yellow and orange wall hangings, coloured cones carefully arranged in co-ordinated patterns, and eye-catching ‘cyanotypes’, 2015 versions of a very early form of photography in which sunlight is shone on to objects placed on specially-treated paper before being removed, leaving just the patterns on the sheet.
