VIDEO: ‘Pavilion People’ with Achievement Bute

Rehearsals are well under way for a community drama performance telling Rothesay Pavilion’s story as part of a ‘closing weekend’ next month.

‘Pavilion People’ will be performed on Friday, September 25 as part of three days of celebratory events before the building’s doors close ahead of refurbishment work which will cost more than £8 million and is expected to last for almost two years.

The drama is written and directed by actor and playwright Linda McLaughlin, choerographed by Natasha Gilmore and co-ordinated by local charity Achievement Bute, and the last full week of the school summer holiday on Bute was given over to five days of intensive rehearsal of the production.
