An outdoor performance company which “gently warps the underlay of the fabric of reality” is bringing a brand-new open-air show to the centre of Rothesay this Sunday.

The Magnificent Organ, an original creation by Mischief La-Bas, Scotland’s foremost street theatre company, features 30 minutes of madcap musical mayhem in a show suitable for audiences of all ages.

There are two performances in Guildford Square in Rothesay town centre this Sunday, July 5 - as 12.30pm and 2pm.

‘The Magnificent Organ’ is the latest in a long line of shows by Mischief La-Bas that develop theatrical interventions in outdoor spaces: readers with long-ish memories might remember their last visit to Bute, in September 2009, when they told the fascinating (if not a little tall) story of Carlos Gardel, a star of tango music who died in an air crash in 1935, and his alleged links to Rothesay and other small Scottish towns.
