FOLLOWING her starring role as Scaramouche in the Rothesay Joint Campus version of We Will Rock You, young Bute actress Rosa Edwards is preparing to take her acting education to a new level.

Rothesay Academy pupil Rosa will play the part of Viola in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night after winning a place on Scottish Youth Theatre’s Summer Festival programme in Glasgow.

The play will be performed at the city’s Tron Theatre from July 31 to August 3 as part of SYT’s Performance and Production Learning programme.

“I can’t wait to perform the finished product on opening night,” Rosa said.

“Going to SYT builds confidence and lets you make friends with other people who share the same interests.

“I’d recommend taking part in SYT activities to anyone.”
