The Bute Amateur Players and Achievement Bute are already hard at work on the early stages of their 'Pavilion Revue', to be held during the building's Grand Closing Weekend in September 2015.

An open evening is to be held in Rothesay next week giving people who have played, sung, danced or simply attended events at Rothesay Pavilion in the past their chance to share their memories of the famous building.

Bute Amateur Players and Achievement Bute are preparing a revue show looking back at the Pavilion’s history, to be performed during the Grand Closing Weekend in September - the last event before the doors are closed and the building’s £8 million refurbishment gets under way.

Anyone interested in sharing their memories of particular events at the Pavilion over the years - and perhaps even in recreating their own starring roles as part of this September’s production - is welcome to go along to the Pavilion for an informal workshop between 7.30pm and 9pm on Tuesday, February 10.

* More detail in this week’s edition of The Buteman - on sale from Thursday, February 5.
