The Rothesay Primary School Parent Fundraising Group will be hosting a Race Night at Rothesay Joint Campus on Friday, October 25 to help raise money for the school’s activities throughout the year.

With Mr Henry (P1 teacher Miss Henry’s father) acting as announcer during the evening, participants will have eight races to take part in, simply picking a horse from the runners in the programme, with the winners taking home the prize money. A grand-final race will see pundits place their bets to be in with a chance of winning the top prize.

It wouldn’t be a day at the races without being dressed in your best, and as an extra incentive, the best dressed will be rewarded.

With a raffle and other games during the evening, pies and snacks and a licensed bar, it looks set to be a fantastic night. All money raised on the night will go back into the school to help fund events like school pantomimes, or to provide materials for classrooms.

Tickets are £2 and available from Rothesay Joint Campus (or at the door on the night) with the doors open from 7.30pm for an 8pm start. It is strictly an over-18s event.

Good luck!
