COUNTY Down singer-songwriter Kieran Goss is on Bute to play at Rothesay Joint Campus this Saturday, May 12 – and we have a pair of tickets to give away to the gig.
The prize, worth £25, has been kindly donated by John Gilmour to raise awareness of a charity ‘round Bute’ cycle ride he and his colleagues in Argyll and Bute Council’s Rothesay grounds maintenance and cleansing team will be undertaking in June.
The proceeds from the team’s charity cycle, using bikes purchased through the council-backed Cycle to Work scheme and taking place on Sunday, June 10, will be split between Rothesay Playgroup and the local Teamwork Malawi Projects charity.
Kieran Goss is one of Ireland’s biggest-selling recording artists - his last album, Worse Than Pride, sold 30,000 copies in just nine months and went to number seven in the Irish album charts in the first week of its release.
To have a chance of winning the tickets, all you need to do is email firstname.lastname@example.org with the answer to this very simple question: which Northern Irish musician recorded the albums Astral Weeks and Moondance?
The deadline for answers is 4pm on Thursday, and we’ll announce the winner’s name here and on our Facebook page as soon as the draw is made.
* Please note that Saturday’s concert is not licensed, but you’re welcome to bring your own drinks and nibbles.
