Waiting ban on Rothesay streets for ButeFest

Argyll and Bute Council is to impose a temoprary traffic order banning waiting on sections of three streets in Rothesay in connection with this weekend’s ButeFest event.

The restrictions will apply from 8am on Friday, July 17 until 5pm on Monday, July 20 in the following areas:

* High Street - on both sides from its junction with Cotton Mill Lane to Rothesay Cemetery, a distance of 440 metres or thereby;

* Eden Drive - on the north side only from its junction with High Street to the extended east kerbline of Wallace Avenue, a distance of one hundred metres or thereby;

* Wallace Avenue - on the west (Victoria Hospital) side of the street from its junction with Eden Drive for a distance of 183 metres or thereby.

Contravention of the order could result in a penalty of up to £500.
