VIDEO: Night of song in Rothesay hits high notes

Soprano Aimee Toshney and pianist Ewan Gilford produced a sparkling night of entertainment at the latest concert in Bute Arts Society’s winter series in Rothesay.

The first half of Friday evening’s programme featured operatic favourites composed by Puccini, Mozart, Handel, Bizet and others, while the second half included a selection of pieces from the lighter end of the pair’s repertoire, with works by George Gershwin, Gilbert and Sullivan, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and Flanders and Swann.

Ewan Gilford and Aimee Toshney took to the stage in Bute Arts Society's latest concert, held at Rothesay Trinity Church on November 28, 2015.
