Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural ButeFest in Rothesay this July - a three-day family festival of music, food and fun.

In addition to Skerryvore, Treacherous Orchestra and the Peatbog Faeries, already confirmed when we first reported on the event last October, ButeFest, on July 17, 18 and 19, will also play host to the folk-rock power trio The John Langan Band, folk-meets-blues-meets-style horns of six-piece Woodenbox, a combination of bluegrass, old-time and Irish folk from Galway’s We Banjo 3, the hard-funk jazz-dance machine that is Federation of the Disco Pimp, and the extraordinary Celtic piping duo of Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson.

In addition to the top-drawer main stage attractions, ButeFest will feature a great variety of local and exotic foods and some of Scotland’s best craft beers and ciders, along with a family fun tent with lots to do and scheduled entertainment for all little ButeFesters to enjoy.

There will also be pop up activities around the site for all to take part in - more details of those to follow.

Tickets can now be booked online via www.skiddle.com or by calling 0844 884 2920. Adult weekend tickets are only £65, with youth tickets (12-16) £55 and child’s tickets £30. Weekend camping is included in the price of the ticket.

More details on the festival can be found at the ButeFest website and Facebook page.
