Almost a year on from their last visit, the highly-acclaimed gypsy jazz quartet Rose Room are coming back to Bute.

Featuring award-winning virtuoso violinist Seonaid Aitken, Jimmy Moon on double bass and Tam Gallagher and Tom Watson on rhythm and lead guitars respectively, Rose Room are firmly established as favourites of the Isle of Bute Jazz Festival’s audience - and having missed the 2014 event due to a commitment elsewhere, the group is sure to be welcomed with open arms from the moment the first chord strikes up in Rothesay on Sunday, November 2.

Their gig at the Victoria Hotel is part of the festival’s regular series of monthly winter gigs - and their “music to lift even the foulest of moods”, in the words of one critic, is sure to provide a welcome ray of sunshine, no matter how grey it might be outside.

The group’s popularity is such that tickets for their gig are sure to be in high demand, so don’t hang about - prized £12, tickets are available from the Victoria Hotel (tel 01700 500016) and from Brechin’s on Bridgend Street (tel 01700 502922).
