A reminder to all music-lovers on Bute that one of Britain’s leading pianists will be performing at Rothesay Joint Campus this evening (Friday, February 14) in the penultimate concert of Bute Arts Society’s 2013/14 programme.
William Howard has enjoyed a career which has taken him to over 40 different countries, performing solo recitals, concerto performances and making guest appearances with chamber ensembles and instrumentalists. He is also no stranger to the recording studio, with his performances featuring on over 30 CDs.
His main passion is 19th century piano works, in particular those of Schubert, Chopin, Schumann and Fauré, although he plays a wide range of works from all areas of the piano repertoire from Bach to the present day, with a special emphasis on the Romantic era.
* The concert begins at 7.30pm and tickets cost £7 (free to students).
