The Isle of Bute Jazz Festival’s programme of monthly winter gigs in Rothesay continues this coming weekend when JazzMain take to the stage at the town’s Victoria Hotel.

Comprising Nick Gould (tenor saxophone), Kevin Dorrian (drums), Steve Grossart (piano and keyboards) and Iain Harkness (bass), the quartet made their Bute debut during the 2014-15 ‘Jazz at the Vic’ series and went down a storm both then and on their first Bute festival appearance back in May.

Not surprisingly they were quickly signed up for a return visit to the 2016 festival - though you won’t have to wait that long to hear them play again on Bute.

The Edinburgh-based group’s second ‘Jazz at the Vic’ slot is this Sunday, December 6, at the Victoria Hotel - tickets for the gig are available in advance from the hotel itself on (01700) 500016 and from Brechin’s on Bridgend Street on (01700) 502922.
