The feedback from visitors and Bute residents attending the island’s 26th jazz festival over the May bank holiday weekend has given the organisers plenty of optimism for the future.
So said festival chairman Tim Saul as the echoes of the last note died away at Monday afternoon’s farewell gig at the Glenburn Hotel ballroom in Rothesay.
“The feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive,” Mr Saul told The Buteman.
“We’ve had a lot of feedback forms returned by both visitors and locals which will allow us to make a strong case for funding for future festivals.
“Until we’ve done a proper post-event analysis we won’t know exactly how many people bought tickets for the festival, but the number of tickets ordered in advance was up on last year, which is a very encouraging sign.”
