Tickets for Irish singer-songwriter Eleanor McEvoy’s Bute gig this Sunday have sold out.

The last few briefs for the September 23 concert at Craigmore Bowling Club were snapped up on Monday morning.

The Dublin-born artist is best known for Only A Woman’s Heart, the lead single on A Woman’s Heart, the 1992 compilation album featuring six of Ireland’s most talented female artists which became, and remains, the biggest-selling Irish Album of all time.

But her musical repertoire is much wider than that, as those who saw her on her first Bute appearance last October - at the first in the ‘Concerts in the Crypt’ series at Mount Stuart - will remember.

Since that breakthrough hit she’s released 11 solo albums, the most recent of which - 2011’s Alone - featured 12 stripped-down, haunting, personal and timeless performances tracing the story of her writing and singing career.
