The 2015 Isle of Bute Jazz Festival kicks off on Friday afternoon - and from then on, right through to Monday lunchtime, you’ll find a great choice of bands and venues on this year’s bill.

The Among the acts appearing in the course of this weekend are the Savannah Jazz Band, Ken Mathieson’s Classic Jazz Band, Rose Room, Havana Swing (pictured), Richard White’s Fivers, the Deke McGee Band, the Bute Community Swing Band and many more.

A highlight of the festival, as always, will be the brolly parade through the centre of Rothesay, leaving from Guildford Square at 11am on Saturday and bringing a riot of music, colour and smiles to the town’s main shopping thoroughfare.

In addition, local acoustic music promoters Transclyde Music are providing a complementary alternative to jazz in the form of Americana, folk and blues on Friday and Saturday evening.
