Bute festival has ‘fantastic’ potential

The man who is lending his logistical experience to plans for Bute’s new music festival says the event could be a huge success.

Simon Kay, the founder of Solfest, an award-winning music and arts festival held in Cumbria since 2003, is part of the organising committee for ButeFest, taking place in Rothesay from July 17-19 next year.

“The goodwill in the community is quite staggering,” Simon told The Buteman, “and the help and support we’ve been offered so far has been really, really good.”
