As we approach Christmas it can mean only one thing - the Ballianlay Choir Christmas Concert can’t be far away!
This year’s event, which will be held in Rothesay Joint Campus, will be in aid of Mary’s Meals, with proceeds going to support their Ebola fund-raising efforts.
The choir, under the direction of Mrs Fiona Shaw, will help everyone get into the Christmas spirit with a selection of suitably festive songs. Solos from Fiona Neill, and Russell Phillips, and a duet by Meg Young and Iain Morrison, will demonstrate the choir’s plentiful talents, and with guests in the form of Bute Community Band, the evening looks set to be a fantastic night’s entertainment.
The choir’s accompanist, Mrs Eileen Samuel, has stepped away from the piano this year to join the choir as a vocalist, with Mr Tony Spencer stepping in to fill the position.
Adding to the festive cheer, storyteller Alison Clark will also be providing readings.
Tickets cost £5 for the concert, which will be held in the hall of Rothesay Joint Campus on Wednesday, December 10, at 7pm.
