The Amici Cello Trio will appear in the second concert of Bute Arts Society’s 2012-13 winter season when they play at Rothesay Joint Campus on November 23.
The trio was established in 2001 by three friends, Sonia Cromarty, Fiona Dippie and Helen McVey, all of whom had studied cello with Robert Irvine at the RSAMD in Glasgow.
Since then they have performed for music clubs throughout Scotland and appeared at many music festivals, while they have also played live on BBC Radio Scotland, and made a memorable appearance alongside station presenter and noted tenor Jamie McDougall, performing a special arrangement of Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf.
The trio’s Rothesay concert starts at 7.30pm on November 23, and admission is £7 (free for students).
