Argyll and Bute Council wants you to write a love letter to your local library to celebrate Book Week Scotland.

What does Rothesay Library mean to you? Now’s your chance to declare your true feelings towards your local library as part of the celebration of Book Week Scotland in Argyll and Bute.

Visits to libraries in Argyll and Bute have increased by ten per cent during the past year, and through the ‘Love Letter to Your Library’ campaign, readers will be asked to post or email their heartfelt messages to their favourite library, where they will be displayed throughout Book Week Scotland from November 24-30.

The letter should be addressed to your favourite library (in Rothesay’s case the address is Rothesay Library, Moat Community Centre, Stuart Street, Rothesay, Isle of Bute PA20 0BX), be no more than 1,000 words long and should be heartfelt, explaining the reasons why the library is so important to you.
