Pupils from the Anne McIlroy School of Dance in Rothesay had a very busy day recently when they took part in a workshop in their recently-renovated dance studio in Guildford Square.

Highland dancers from Primary to Premier level were put through their paces by teacher Lisa Ferrie, a past adjudicator at the island’s annual Highland dance festival at Rothesay Pavilion.

Lisa put the dancers through lots of exercises in the course of the day, as well as both Highland and National dances, and remarked afterwards on how hard all had worked and how well-behaved and enthusiastic all the dancers had been.

It was a lot of pain - but a lot of fun!
