The Moat community centre is home to Rothesay Library - venue for the exhibition 'Bedford, Battalions and Brave Battles', from June 4-30.

The latest Great War commemoration exhibition from Argyll and Bute Council’s Library Service opens at Rothesay Library this week.

‘Bedford, Battalions and Brave Battles’ gives an account of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and their significant contribution on the battle front

The history of the regiment has been compiled by the Argylls’ Regimental Museum at Stirling Castle and it is supplemented with a fascinating insight into the training undertaken at camp in Bedford before the troops went to war.

The exhibition will be on display at Rothesay Library from June 4-30 during normal library opening hours.

In addition, its curator, Richard Galley, will give a talk to accompany the exhibition ‘ Bedford’s Highlanders - the Highland Division’s Occupation of Bedford 1914-15’ - on Friday, June 19 at 6.30pm for 7pm.
