Rothesay girl selected in national dance programme

A Rothesay girl has been selected to take part in a national dance programme that will tour the country.

Shannon Louise McCulloch-Kean will be taking part in the eighth year of Project Y – a performance programme that encourages and inspires dancers to reach for their dreams. This highly successful project, which starts on Monday 8 July 2013, offers dancers aged 12 to 21 the chance to develop their skills and for the upper age group (16 to 21) the opportunity to be part of a dance company that tours to venues across Scotland.

Past Project Y participants have gone on to study dance full time and become professional dance artists with one particular alumni, Emma Houston, being part of Boadicea - the first and only female dance crew to reach the finals of Sky 1’s Got To Dance.
