Have your say

Rothesay Library is set to welcome two acclaimed authors with strong links to Bute tonight (Friday, October 3) to meet the Bute Writers’ Group - and members of the public are invited to come along to the event.

Helen FitzGerald, an Australian author whose hit novels include Dead Lovely and The Cry, and Lisa O’Donnell, who grew up on Bute and wrote The Death of Bees and Closed Doors, have both spoken to The Buteman during visits to the island in the last few months.

Attendance is free, and you don’t have to be a Bute Writers Group member to attend - but demand is likely to be high, so you’re advised to phone the library on (01700) 503266 to book your place. Wine and nibbles will be provided and all are welcome!
