A series of drawings, video and sculptures based on the original interior of Rothesay Pavilion will go on show inside the famous building next weekend.

The pieces form part of an exhibition by artist Ally Wallace under the title of ‘Seaside Modernity’, to be shown in the first floor cafe on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31.

Ally said: “The show will be a mixture of works made on site and pieces which have been developed in the studio and designed specifically to fit on and around the architecture, fixtures and furniture in the space.”

The building will close to the public at the end of September for major regeneration work, which is due to be completed in teh summer of 2017 at a cost of more than £8 million.
