A comprehensively-revised walking guide to Rothesay has been launched at Bute Museum.

‘Walks About Rothesay Town’, published by the Buteshire Natural History Society, features an updated script, new phototgraphs of the town and a colour map to help both residents and visitors get the most out of the area and its natural and built heritage.

Printed by local firm Print Point and funded largely by a donation from the Rothesay Common Good Fund, the guide costs £2.50 and is on sale at Bute Museum in Stuart Street, Print Point and the Isle of Bute Discovery Centre.

Bute Museum trustee George McKenzie said: “A lot of people don’t realise the history behind many of the buildings around Rothesay, and I congratulate all those involved in working on the guide.”
