A new exhibition of work showcasing the talents of three hugely accomplished artists opened its doors to the public in Rothesay on Saturday.

Watercolour painters Bryan Evans and Ann Russell were joined by glassmaker Graham Muir at the opening of ‘Seeing Through Colour’ at the Castle Gallery.

Depictions of the built environment of Rothesay and Bute feature heavily in the work of both Evans and Russell, while Muir’s stunning creations, made using a combination of hot and cold techniques, provide a beautiful counterpoint to the framed pieces of his two fellow exhibitors.

Bryan Evans will return to the gallery on Saturday, November 29 to give a talk on the process of etchings and mezzotints used in much of his early work.
