A new co-operative for culture, heritage and the arts in Argyll and Bute will receive its Bute launch at a meeting in Rothesay tonight (Thursday).

The Argyll and Bute Cultural Assembly aims to promote the area’s cultural activity on the national and international stage, and to attract more visitors to the region at the same time.

The Bute launch event takes place at Rothesay Pavilion on Thursday, April 23 from 7.30-9.30pm, and everyone interested in promoting the island’s cultural and artistic assets is welcome to attend.

The project is being supported by funding from Creative Scotland’s Place Partnership Awards and follows a study commissioned by Argyll and Bute Council and Highlands and Islands Enterprise in March 2014.
