A Bute-inspired silver brooch designed by a pupil at Rothesay Academy has gone into production.

Layla Templeton was presented with the first silver version of the brooch in the culmination of a partnership between the school’s art department and Bute-founded firm Scottish Island Jewellery.

The Academy’s S3 art and design pupils were asked to come up with a new contemporary design for sale in conjunction with the other Bute-inspired products created by Shirley Lloyd and Richard Home.
