Rothesay’s latest moment of small screen fame comes this Monday, April 6, in the third episode of a travel series with acclaimed actress and comedian Elaine C. Smith.

Elaine, best known for her one-woman shows and her long-running role as Mary in Rab C. Nesbitt, visits Rothesay in the third episode of Elaine C. Smith’s Burdz Eye View, being broadcast at 8pm this Monday on STV.

Heading ‘doon the water’ to perform at the famous Pavilion, Elaine makes time to join a tea dance and sing some jazz with local, Jenny Brown, goes on to have a ‘daunder’ and ice cream with best friend Barbara Rafferty, and before her gig she catches up with friend and Rothesay resident Joan Reid.

The six part series has already featured North Berwick and Oban, with St Andrews, Stonehaven and Portpatrick to follow in the remaining episodes.
