Pupils from Rothesay Academy have been learning all about creative writing in a series of workshops organised by former pupil, Lisa O’Donnell.

Lisa, who is the author behind the award-winning and best-selling novel ‘The Death of Bees’, returned to her alma mater with friend and fellow author, Carly Brown - winner of the Scottish National Championships of Slam Poetry in 2013 - to put the pupils through their paces in all forms of creative writing.

“It’s a great way to make you confident about your own voice,” Lisa told the workshop, “which is very important. You should feel confident about your own voice.”
