Mount Stuart’s contemporary visual arts programme is continuing this month with a series of events to mark the close of the 2012 season at the popular visitor attraction.
Artist Lucy Skaer, the joint creator of one of four installations in the 2012 programme, will talk about the short film ‘A Dance of Ownership, A Song in Hand’, made in collaboration with the late dancer and choreographer Gill Clarke, in the Mount Stuart drawing room at 3pm this Sunday, October 14.
Then, on Sunday, October 28 at 3pm in the audio-visual theatre at Mount Stuart’s visitor centre, there’s a creening of the film ‘Temenos’ by Nina Danino, whose still photography piece, ‘Communion’, has been on show in the stunning marble chapel at the Victorian Gothic house since June.
The final event in this month’s programme is an afternoon with James MacKay, co-curator of this year’s visual arts programme, and artist Ian Bourn, whose work ‘Peninsula’ was specifically created for exhibition at Mount Stuart.
Admission to all events is free of charge, but spaces are limited and pre-booking is advised - contact Mount Stuart on (01700) 503877 to be sure of your place.
