A former Rothesay Academy pupil turned professional photographer has been shortlisted for the second year in a row for a national wedding awards scheme.

Jacqui Paterson, founder of Chic Photo, is in the final ten wedding photographers in the hitched.co.uk Breakthrough Awards.

She has always had a keen interest in photography after studying it at Stevenson College in Edinburgh, and after gaining her qualifications, Jacqui set sail and travelled the world as a photographer on cruise ships.

It was there she photographed several weddings onboard and developed a passion for wedding photography. After leaving the cruise ships, Jacqui continued to photograph weddings and eventually decided to start her own business, Chic Photo.
