Bute paintings to go on show at Rothesay Library

Paintings from Bute created by a former Rothesay Academy art teacher are to go on display at Rothesay Library later this month.

‘Scotty@Seventy’ is the title of an exhibition of works by Ian McLachlan Scott, several of which were recently displayed at the Moray Art Gallery in Findhorn.

Those familiar with Ian’s paintings will have the chance to revisit his favourite Bute haunts of Ettrick, St Ninian’s and Scarrel - scenes he has been painting for some 45 years.

The exhibition, at the library in Rothesay’s Stuart Street, opens to the public on Tuesday, April 16 and runs until Friday, May 10.
