The holiday company behind a survey which found that Bute is the best place in Britain for taking holiday snaps has produced a series of ‘how-to’ holiday videos - one of them showing exactly why the island is such a popular place for pictures.

Parkdean Holidays, which owns Wemyss Bay caravan park and 23 other holiday parks across the UK, conducted a survey of children across the country and published the results last month.

It has now produced four video guides, each with expert tips, on sandcastle-building, kite-flying, rock-pool-hunting and photography.

The Bute guide, though only 80 seconds long, features several immediately-recognisable island locations, including Port Bannatyne, Ascog and Kilchattan Bay.
